It describes which cookies we use, why we use them and how you can control them.
This Cookie Notice should be read together with the SELISE GEO Privacy Policy, which explains in more detail how we collect and use personal data, how long we keep it and what rights you have.
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate SELISE GEO and keep it secure, to remember your settings and preferences, to understand how visitors use our website so that we can improve it and, where applicable, to measure our marketing activities.
Cookies that are strictly necessary to provide or secure the service are always active. For all other cookies, we ask for your consent first, and they stay switched off until you agree. We apply this standard to all visitors, wherever they are located.

Our newsletters and marketing emails may contain small invisible images (pixels) and tracked links. These show us whether an email was opened or a link was clicked, which helps us improve our emails. We use them only if you agreed to this when subscribing, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
4. Categories of Cookies Used by SELISE GEO
4.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
Strictly necessary cookies are essential for SELISE GEO to work and to be secure. They are used, for example, to keep you logged in while you use the platform, to keep your session secure, to protect the service against fraud and misuse, and to remember the cookie choices you have made.
Because the service cannot work properly without them, these cookies do not require your consent and cannot be switched off in the cookie settings. They are not used for advertising or analytics.

Functional cookies remember the choices you make, such as your preferred language or display settings, and provide features that make SELISE GEO easier and more convenient to use.
We use functional cookies only if you have agreed to them. If you do not agree, SELISE GEO still works, but some of your settings may not be remembered.

Analytics and performance cookies help us understand how visitors use our website, for example which pages are visited, how long visitors stay, how they move through the website and where they run into problems. We use this information to find and fix technical issues and to improve SELISE GEO.
We use analytics and performance cookies only if you have agreed to them. They stay switched off until you give your consent.
4.4 Advertising and Marketing Cookies
Advertising and marketing cookies are used to measure the success of advertising campaigns, for example whether an advertisement led to a visit to our website.
SELISE GEO currently does not use any advertising or marketing cookies. If we decide to use them in the future, we will update this Cookie Notice and ask for your consent before they are used.

In addition, we store the choices you make in our cookie banner, so that we do not have to ask you again every time you visit. This record is strictly necessary and is kept for 12 months.
6. Third-Party Cookies and Technologies
Some of the cookies used on SELISE GEO are set by third-party providers, such as Google and Microsoft, as shown in the table above. When these cookies are used, the providers receive information about your visit, for example the pages you view and how you interact with them.
These providers process the information in accordance with their own privacy policies and our agreements with them. Third-party analytics cookies are used only if you have given your consent.
7. Your Cookie Choices
When you visit SELISE GEO for the first time, we show you a cookie banner. In the banner you can accept all non-essential cookies, reject all non-essential cookies, or open the settings and choose which categories of cookies you allow.
Strictly necessary cookies are always active because the service cannot work without them. Functional, analytics and marketing cookies stay switched off until you agree to them.
If you reject non-essential cookies, you can still use SELISE GEO. Only the features that depend on those cookies, such as remembering certain settings, may be affected.
8. Withdrawing or Changing Consent
You can change your cookie choices or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page of the SELISE GEO website.
If you withdraw your consent, the relevant cookies will no longer be used from that moment. The withdrawal does not affect our use of cookies based on your consent before you withdrew it.
When you withdraw your consent, SELISE GEO deletes all non-essential cookies and storage items that it has set itself. Cookies set by third-party providers can also be deleted through your browser settings.
We keep a record of the choices you make in the cookie banner so that we can show that consent was given. We will ask you again for your choices after 12 months.
9. Browser Controls
Most browsers allow you to view, block or delete cookies through their settings. Please note that if you block or delete strictly necessary cookies, some parts of SELISE GEO, such as logging in, may no longer work properly.
Your browser settings work separately from the SELISE GEO cookie banner. Changing one does not automatically change the other.
10. Global Privacy Control and Similar Signals
Some browsers can send a privacy signal, such as Global Privacy Control, telling websites that you do not want your data to be shared or sold or used for targeted advertising. Where the law requires this, SELISE GEO treats such a signal as a refusal of marketing cookies.
11. International Processing
Some of the third-party providers we use, such as Google and Microsoft, may process information collected through cookies outside Switzerland and the European Union.
Where this involves personal data, we protect it with the safeguards described in the SELISE GEO Privacy Policy, such as recognised transfer frameworks or standard contractual clauses.
12. Changes to this Cookie Notice
We may update this Cookie Notice from time to time, for example when we start or stop using certain cookies, change our providers or need to reflect changes in the law.
The “Last Updated” date at the top of this Cookie Notice shows when it was last changed. If a change affects the cookies you have already agreed to, we will ask for your consent again.
